Does anyone know what's happening with BeNews and BeGroovy? BeNews has been inaccessible for a few days now. BeGroovy is returning 'internal server error' pages for its news and forum sites. Hrm. Of course, these casualties are on top of the seemingly permanent demise of BeOS Central. Does anyone have any word on what's caused this recent spate of site outages?

Well, compared to August, the Be sites are relatively stable now, but how long do people think they will continue to exist? I know Nutcase has talked about rolling the BeGroovy forums into something bigger, better and not BeOS focussed (so how on earth could they be better?! ). BeNews has lost Eugenia to OSNews, and there seems to be a distinct lack of interest from the remaining BeNews editors at the moment (or maybe there just really *is* no news, and nothing to post there. I'm sure there must be information to report, however. Why not interview Mozilla developers? Tune Tracker users? There must still be interesting stories out there in the remnants of the Be community? I'm also interested in the recently mooted Behistory.com site, aiming to capture and present a history of Be and its operating system. Hopefully the BeBox will receive the attention and coverage it deserves there . (I'm hoping to submit a heap of BeBox information to make sure it does). Anyway, some semi-idle thoughts on a day where I've just found myself re-reading through a bunch of old posts on these forums. Cheers Andrew
