Because 15 processors per person is not enough
|
Joe Palmer has been a pretty quiet blogger of late ... if you believe his site,

Photos of early Australian BeBoxen
|
Alex Dawson has put up some great photos of a Rev5 and Rev6 BeBox from the
University of Western Australia. They provide a great side-by-side comparison
of the evolution of the BeBox hardware in its early days. From a historical point
of view, these BeBoxen are of particular interest, as they were owned by early
BeOS developer, Peter N Lewis, of Stairways Software. Peter developed probably the
first web server for the BeOS during the early developer releases (around the time
of BeOS 1.1dr5!) |

The Tale of Two BeBoxen
|
There are lots of holes in our understanding of differences in the construction
and design of different versions of the BeBox. Mark Jerde has created a thorough
side-by-side pictorial comparison of his two BeBoxen - one a Rev 5 the other
a Rev 6 that provide us with further insight into the differences.
